More than sixty years of business activity in the Canary Islands.
The company
Invertia does not distribute, transport or host. Its role comes before all of that: it is where ownership is held and where the horizon is set. The companies operate. The holding endures.

Three domains under one ownership.
The holding gathers the family's activity into three domains: a distribution and logistics group, a hospitality project and a portfolio of shareholdings. Each moves at its own pace; none is managed apart from the rest.
Whatever gets done, is done from here.
The distribution and logistics group, its three companies, the hospitality project and the portfolio. All registered in Gran Canaria and all sharing one origin: an import and distribution business built in the post-war Canary Islands.
A post-war business that learned how to last.
Joaquín Galarza was orphaned during the Spanish Civil War and started working at twelve. He traded first in threads, pins and needles; then he began importing into the Canary Islands whatever the islands were short of. Everything else comes from there.
1962 — 1988
The trade
An import business built by hand in an archipelago where almost everything arrived by sea. And, in the middle of it, the place the family returns to.
The oldest thread
Cadiex places in this year the origin of the activity still alive inside the group today.
Las Gaviotas
The founder acquires a rural estate in Vega de San Mateo and names it Las Gaviotas — The Seagulls: a sign at the entrance showing four seagulls taking flight, one for each of his daughters. Forty years later it becomes Karibu.
Comercial J. Galarza
Distribution stops being a personal trade and starts being an organisation.
2010 — 2016
The structure
Ownership stops being dispersed and takes a single shape. The group grows by simplifying.
Invertia is incorporated
On 20 January, Galarza Invertia, S.L. is incorporated as a holding company.
Consolidation
Invertia absorbs Regional de Comercio Redeco, S.L. Fewer companies, more order.
2022 — 2026
The present
What was built inwards over sixty years begins to open outwards.
Institutional presence
Laura Galarza, president of the group and managing director of Invertia, joins the Círculo de Empresarios de Gran Canaria.
Wigow
The group introduces its integrated logistics brand, opened to third parties.
Four seagulls taking flight.
The sign the founder hung at the gate of the estate in 1986 carried four seagulls, one for each of his daughters. Forty years on, they are the ones running the house.

How decisions get made.
Mission
To administer the Galarza family's assets with a single criterion: that the companies within it can go on operating with independence, solvency and roots in the Canary Islands long after those who run them today.
Vision
A family structure able to carry generational succession without interrupting the business; growing through consolidation and judgement rather than accumulation, and still measuring its decisions in decades.
- Continuity
- Decisions are made with the next generation in mind, not the next financial year. It is the only real advantage a family business has, and it is not delegated.
- Rootedness
- The Canary Islands are not a market to operate in: they are where everything was built. The distance from the mainland and from the African continent is not an obstacle to the business; it is its starting condition.
- Discretion
- Family assets are administered, not displayed. What is made public is what can be supported with documents.
